Bangkok Streets

A shining c.d reflector tied on the rear of a bike,
has pulled to a stop near an intersection light.
Contrasted to it, more vivid to the right
Is another reflecting symbol of colours blue and white.
An Emblem emblazoned with the initials sounding biiemdoubleyou
Lays floating amongst Tuk Tuks, bicycles, and men who shine shoes
A sheet of blue fog emerges, enveloping all around
Indifferent within each symbol car,
a muffled rap style sound.
Tinted windows keep the distance,
between them and the dogs of the street;
The Northern women selling necklaces,
Or the farmer`s fresh fish meat.
A man across the way sits observing from his converted garage home,
He sold his daughter to a brothel,
For a Nokia cellular phone
Now his heart continues crumbling by the scene before his eyes,
The phone has brought no success,
the emblems full of lies.
So he waves good luck to his nepthew,
On his fruit selling bike
Prays he makes the money
To bring his daughter home for just one night.
